New Creation: I Love Cake – Sweet Chaos Begins

Every once in a while an idea appears that makes absolutely no sense… until it somehow turns into a T-shirt.

That was pretty much the story behind this latest design.

Somewhere along the creative process, I ended up sketching monster cakes with ridiculous expressions, melting frosting, oversized eyes, and way more personality than a dessert probably deserves. I honestly don't remember exactly how I arrived here, but once the first concept started taking shape, I couldn't stop exploring it.

This first piece has become part of a small series of "I Love Cake" designs that I've been working on behind the scenes. Each one has its own strange personality, and they're quickly becoming some of the most entertaining artwork I've created in a while.

One thing I've learned over the past year is to let ideas go wherever they naturally want to go. Sometimes I'm creating futuristic cyberpunk portraits. Other days I'm sketching spirit animals, psychedelic mushrooms, or surreal skulls. And then somehow... monster cakes happen.

That's one of the things I enjoy most about being an independent artist. There aren't many rules beyond continuing to create. Every new project is another opportunity to experiment, laugh a little, and discover ideas I never would have planned from the beginning.

We're now moving into the second half of 2026, and I feel like I've found a rhythm that really works for me. New artwork, new blog posts, collection updates, and continual improvements to Ink Flux Designs have become part of my weekly routine. Instead of chasing perfection, I've focused on simply creating consistently and sharing the journey one piece at a time.

The rest of the "I Love Cake" series is already in progress, and I'll be sharing those designs as I finish polishing them up.
